"Abortion Rights vs. Prostitution Rights?"
Original Opinion by ()
I saw a user on this site post something about abortion rights for a female being compared to prostitution laws- they made a great point... allow me to explain.
Organizations such as NOW (National Organization for Women) have been very open about the rights of a women, especially in the instance of abortion and the right to choice.
The key word is "choice". I understand the criminal behavior that would follow legalizing prostitution, but if these organizations believe in "choice," shouldn't it be the women's right to choose if she wants to use her body in that way?
Why doesn't NOW really stand up for female rights?
Please note- I am not a liberal or conservative, Democrat or Republican. I am just about as independent and moderate as you can be. This is not an attack on either view points on the political spectrum.

im sorry but this just made me laugh
the idea of having a womens group fight to legalize prostitution
to add to your argument illegal prostitution results in pimps, sex slavery and drug addiction so maybe it would be better for women to legalize it.of course i really dont think any one male or female really wants to be a prostitute
seriously man this is a joke a joke with a good point but never the less a joke.

Believe it or not Teddyroosevelt, their are women and men who want to do sexual services in exchange for money. Their are even prostitutes who want prostitution legal and women who stand for these rights.
It's not a joke but an actual political issue.
I recommend anyone that is interested in this topic watch a short documentary created by Penn and Teller for their Showtime television show Bull***t!

And the idea that Women's groups should be fighting to legalize prostitution is a ridiculously ignorant and sexist one. READ A BOOK!
